Bob DeAngelis
Lead Performer & Co-Founder
Bob DeAngelis is often referred to as Canada’s own “King of Swing.” His clarinet prowess has earned him world class status as one of the globes finest jazz clarinetist. He is a multiple award winning instrumentalist, including two JUNO Awards and was awarded the title of “Jazz Clarinetist of the Year” from the Canadian National Jazz Awards.
Bob has performed as a guest artist across North America with numerous symphony orchestras and has entertained for numerous heads of state, royalty and dignitaries.
In 2008, Bob performed at Carnegie Hall with his own “Champagne Symphony Orchestra,” celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Benny Goodman’s famous concert there. He is considered one of Canada’s most popular bandleaders and is positioned at the helm of his own entertainment company, DeAngelis Entertainment Inc. that provides quality live music products to the commercial market.
Bob has an extensive discography in both the Jazz and “easy listening” genres.
Joni DeAngelis
Co-Founder & Manager
Joni DeAngelis sits at the helm of administration for DeAngelis Entertainment Inc.
Established in the late 70’s, the company provides professional, premium live music and band services. Together with husband, multiple award-winning instrumentalist Bob DeAngelis, they have become highly respected as providers of quality live music and various entertainment products.
Joni was the recipient of the International Live Events Associations (ILEA), "Lifetime Achievement Award" in 2016.
Additionally in 1998, Joni authored the hilarious interactive dinner theater show, “Joey and Gina’s Comedy Wedding” and penned its sequels over the years. These shows are corporate favorites and continue to delight audiences across North America. Joni also was the producer of the Carnegie Hall production of “The Coronation of a King” tribute to Benny Goodman that features Bob on clarinet.
Joni prides herself in having 3 dynamic daughters. Entrepreneurs in their own right; Julie Danaylov, Elisa Kovacic and Samantha McDonald who are the founders of A2D2 ~ Aerial Dance Cirque Company.
